Interpretation

Stock chart volume is the number of shares traded during a given time period, if a stock is traded on a low volume, meaning generally there is not much trader interested in the stock. On the other hand, if a stock is traded on a very high volume, meaning traders are interested in the stock. Sometimes a surge in volume can often signify the end of a trend.
