Take a look of our daily scan results on Volume Spike. In the Volume Spike Screener results blog, we scan for stocks in NYSE and NASDAQ to look for stocks with volume spike or sudden increase of volume in a single day. Interpretation Stock chart volume is the number of shares traded during a given time period, if a stock is traded on a low volume, meaning generally there is not much trader interested in the stock. On the other hand, if a stock is traded on a very high volume, meaning traders are interested in the stock. Sometimes a surge in volume can often signify the end of a trend.
